Solo un fantastico organizzatore quale l’americano TOM LOEFFLER poteva pensare a una notte del miglior pugilato tutto irlandese e proprio la notte in cui gli irlandesi festeggiano il loro patrono appunto San Patrizio.
All’angolo dell’irlandese CALLUM WALSH 24 anni, record di 12 match vinti di cui 10 via KO, nel teatro del Madison Square Garden ci sarà uno dei migliori maestri di pugilato del pianeta, FREDDIE ROACH.
Il match valido per i Pesi Super Welter è vs DEAN SUTHERLAND 26 anni, scozzese con il record di 19 match di cui 7 vinti via KO e uno perso.
Nell’undercard altri match con irlandesi di Dublino, vs messicani e vs americani. La Festa di San Patrizio è una grande occasione per riunire i fans della boxe che amano l’azione, gli irlandesi han sempre saputo regalare combattimenti aggressivi sino all’ultimo secondo dell’ultimo round, per chi ci arriva…
In questa magnifica notte a Manhattan forse nascerà una stella, è presto per dirlo, i match sono ancora pochi e gli avversari non ancora così di rilievo sia si tratti di uno e dell’altro contendente, ma sicuramente la notte di preannuncia come un grande show.
E se questi due ragazzi sono l’evento principale vuol dire che il prezzo del biglietto vale l’evento. Del resto TOM LOEFFLER con la sua 360 Boxing Promotion è garanzia di una notte di adrenalina.
LOEFFLER è un grande appassionato, sempre dalla parte dei suoi Combattenti…nel suo palmares di organizzatore, un paio, anche tre nomi, ma sono tanti di più, che han lasciato il segno, scritto la Storia su suolo americano: WLADIMIR KLITSCHKO, GENNADY GOLOVKIN e CECILIA BRAEKHUS…
E poi i pugili irlandesi che si sono sfidati a New York è un classico dei fuochi d’artificio per tutti i tempi della Storia americana. Qualcuno ricorda la trologia del nostro italiano (sportivamente cresciuto in Canda) ARTURO GATTI vs l’americano/irlandese MICKY WARD…? Indimenticabile!
Eppure anche gli italiani un tempo erano così e non a chiacchiere, fieri, orgogliosi e forti. Pensanti, Generosi e Combattenti. Un arsenale oggi introvabile…chissà forse un domani.
