OLEKSANDR UYK vs DANIEL DUBOIS in PIAZZA della LIBERTÀ a WROCLAW
Atterro a Wroclaw l’ospitalità dei miei amici polacchi è quella di chi si conosce da sempre.
Premurosi e affettuosi.
Non voglio perdermi un angolo, la storia di questa città sopravvissuta a due guerre mondiali con l’architettura dei suoi palazzi rimasta intatta all’Impero Austro-Ungarico, è oggi al confine con la Germania, Repubblica Ceca e la Slovacchia.
Accogliente lo è anche il sole che splende senza bruciare, i 25° rendono subito piacevole la mia scoperta di Wroclaw intanto che vado verso l’appuntamento con il campo di allenamento per i media, il mio amico polacco Marek mi mostra i luoghi e il fascino a cui è sopravvissuta a tutto gli imperi che via via nei secoli si sono succeduti tra l’Europa Centrale e L’Europa dell’Est.
Eccomi arrivata a Plac Wolnosci tradotto è Piazza della Libertà, nel canale che costeggia si riflettono gli imponenti palazzi di quel color rosso antico che capisci quanto sono radicati i segni dell’avviccendarsi delle diverse culture anche se simili di questa bellissima cittadina, mica tanto piccola, quasi un milione di abitanti.
Una città universitaria, tanti i giovani studenti non solo polacchi, e saranno tantissismi i refugiati ucraini che festeggeranno il giorno dell’Indipendenza e della bandiera ucraina nella maestosa, ArenaTarczynski con la capacità di 50.000 persone.
Un’arena che ha già visto un match sensazionale Vitali Klitschko vs Tomaz Adamek ne 2011, al momento giusto il nostro arbitro tra i migliori al mondo, Massimo Barrovecchio ha fermato il match per TKO.
Il pugile di casa, il polacco Adamek non voleva in nessun modo cedere alla pericolosa potenza dell’ucraino Vitali Klitschko. un match tanto emozionante quanto di grande orgoglio polacco.
In Piazza della Libertà, applausi per ogni ragazzo degli undercard al match clou del prossimo sabato 26 agosto.
Tutti ragazzi fortemente motivati e orgogliosi di rappresentare e di provare vincere, sale subito la Polonia, poi la nazione del contendente il Peso Massimo DANIEL DUBOIS, il Regno Unito e di più entusiasmante l’esplosione di gioia riservata per il Campione dei Pesi Massimi, OLEKSANDR USYK.
USYK ha intrattenuto come un giocoliere di piazza, lanciando palline in aria prima tre poi sei, poi in prove di velocità con una palla attaccata con un elastico al cappello, e poi in assolo di figure a mostrare i riflessi.
In un duetto con musica d’atmosfera ha cantato per l’Ucraina e ha fatto scogliere in commozione gli ucraini presenti, ma ha invaso anche tutti noi presenti, non serve conoscere la lingue e le parole, per capire per intuire il sentimento di unità che l’Ucraina mostra al mondo e a noi mondo occidentale chiede il supporto senza se e senza ma.
Ieri 23 agosto e oggi 24 agosto si celebra l’Indipendenza e la Bandiera Ucraina. Senza far rumore è inutile esporsi alla follia di Putin in piena guerra.
Questo è un match per la Storia e non mi riferisco solo alla Storia della Boxe ma a sottolineare l’amicizia indiscussa tra l’Ucraina e la Polonia.
E il grande supporto del Regno Unito che dopo il forfait di TYSON FURY il match che tutti vogliamo vs OLEKSANDR USYK perché tutte le cinture, i trofei in palio possono spostarsi tutti in vita di uno o dell’altro Campione.
No, non sto sottovalutando il britannico DUBOIS che sabato sera sfiderà USYK ma avere a che fare sul ring con tale classe, maestria tecnica, intelligenza e motivazione e certo anche la storia che l’Ucraina pugilistica ormai rappresenta nel mondo intero e questo mago USYK dalle proporzioni più contenute rispetto ai giganti che siamo abituati a vedere nei Pesi Massimi, soggiogare completamente gli avversari, mi fa pensare ad una forza interiore così potente che guida la sua mente che escogita soluzioni anche a noi esperti inimmaginabili.
È certamente il lato più sorprendente del “Cosacco Ucraino USYK”.
Anche gli Amici inglesi lo sanno…
Non ho nessun problema a prevedere il TKO o anche un sorprendente KO di USYK, l’Arena Tarczynski omaggerà festeggiando l’uomo migliore. L’uomo sul ring che sventolerà la bandiera Ucraina.

I landed in Wroclaw the hospitality of my Polish friends is that of friends who have known each other forever.

And the great support of the United Kingdom after the forfeit of TYSON FURY the fight we all want vs. OLEKSANDR USYK because all the belts, the trophies up for grabs can all move into the waist of one or the other Champion.
No, I’m not underestimating the British DUBOIS who will challenge USYK on Saturday night but having to deal in the ring with such class, technical mastery, intelligence, and motivation and certainly also the history that boxing Ukraine now represents in the whole world and this USYK magician with smaller proportions than the giants we are used to seeing in the Heavyweights, completely subjugating the opponents, makes me think of such a powerful inner force that guides his mind that devises solutions even to us experts unimaginable.
It’s certainly the most striking side of the “Ukrainian Cossack USYK”.
Even the British Friends know it…
I have no problem predicting TKO or even a surprising KO by USYK, Arena Tarczynski will honor the better man by celebrating. The man in the ring who will wave the Ukrainian flag.
