Sabato prossimo 16 settembre,  alla T-Mobile Arena di Las Vegas il SUPERFIGHT tra GENNADY “GGG” GOLOVKIN vs SAUL “canelo” ALVAREZ, per il titolo dei Pesi Medi WBC, WBA, IBF.

Voglio prima dare tutto il mio affettuoso supporto ai cari amici messicani, le mie preghiere, per il pauroso disastro del terremoto, magnitudine 8.4, che ieri ha colpito il Messico.

E così al suo protagonista messicano, SAUL “canelo” ALVAREZ ora ha una motivazione anche grave, mettercela tutta per dare un sorriso al già forte orgoglio boxistico dei guerrieri messicani. Vamooosss CANELO! El mi corazon esta con usted!

Ora, l’avversario del messicano, è il miglior peso medio in circolazione degli ultimi 5 anni, il kazako, GENNADY “GGG” GOLOVKIN, prima di lui il magnifico campione argentino, sexy-SERGIO “maravilla” MARTINEZ. GGG ha una mascella d’acciaio, nessuno mai ci ha davvero provato…è escluso che il  più giovane, nato welter naturale, da poco nei pesi medi, 27 anni, CANELO possa atterrarlo.

Questo match mi ricorda il nostro più grande campione italiano di sempre tra i grandissimi nel mondo.

GIANCARLO GARBELLI vs LASZLO PAPP.

L’ungherese tre volte medaglia d’oro alle Olimpiadi di Londra, Melbourne e Helsinki, considerato il miglior peso medio di tutti i tempi. Il match terminò con un pareggio “politico”, erano tempi politici molto difficili e lo Sport era coinvolto suo malgrado. Garbelli è stato l’uomo migliore, quella notte del 26 dicembre 1960.

Siamo in un’altra era, nei bei tempi andati dove la categoria era più folta di competitors, non so come sarebbe andata …

Ma viviamo il presente. Di più, il 35 enne GGG, naturale peso medio, ha nel suo record, 33 KO vinti in sequenza negli ultimi match disputati, l’ultimo invece ai punti contro l’americano JACOBS; per pura illusione, ha cambiato la prospettiva di qualcuno, avendo GGG sempre vinto in maniera convincente via KO, però non è certo l’unica.

Penso che GGG di proposito non abbia utilizzato il suo colpo fatale, per non intimorire ulteriormente i suoi potenziali avversari, ormai decimati e così rendersi più vulnerabile… Ciò che rende il miglior peso medio contemporaneo eccezionale, è che apparentemente non ha punti deboli.

GGG è un pugile/picchiatore, potente devastante, perfetto nel tempo.

Bel jab, intelligenza, equilibrio, negli USA, ha imparato a parare con i gomiti…forse non ha la velocità è quindi suscettibile agli uppercuts. CANELO ha la velocità. Mio Papà Giancarlo Garbelli avrebbe detto: “stanotte si balla… a ritmo pesante” .

Per tutti e due gli sfidanti è certamente il momento più alto nelle rispettive carriere, per capitalizzare in termini di borsa, l’occasione più grande.

Per il kazako GGG al culmine della sua carriera è la prima volta sul ring di Las Vegas, ma già grande protagonista di irrepetibili match al Madison Square Garden di New York, e prima ancora in Europa, in Germania, Montecarlo, Londra, Ucraina, prima di stabilirsi con la famiglia a Los Angeles. Molto lungo e duro il tragitto, come sempre per i non americani, ad eccezione dei messicani che nella boxe hanno voce con così tanti guerrieri.

CANELO, è una superstar del ring, l’idolo messicano, quindi della grande boxe, ha chiuso praticamente la carriere dell’inglese AMIR KHAN e di tanti altri a fine carriera, compreso il fantastico americano SHANE MOSLEY.

CANELO ha perso vs FLOYD MAYWEATHER jr., con decisione maggioritaria MD. Il record di CANELO è 49 match -1 perso-1 pari- 34 vinti via KO.

Saturday next September 16th, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas the SUPERFIGHT between GENNADY “GGG” GOLOVKIN vs. SAUL “canelo” ALVAREZ, for the WBC, WBA, IBF for Middle Weights title.

First I want to give all my warm support to my dear Mexican friends, my preyers, for the scariest earthquake disaster, magnitude 8.4, which hit Mexico yesterday. And now his Mexican protagonist, SAUL “canelo” ALVAREZ, has also a serious motivation, put it all, to give a smile to the already strong boxing pride of Mexican warriors. Vamooosss CANELO! My heart is with you!

Now, the Mexican opponent, is the best middle weight in the last 5 years, the Kazakhstan, GENNADY “GGG” GOLOVKIN, before him the marvellous Argentine champion, sexy-SERGIO “maravilla” MARTINEZ. GGG has a steel jaw, no one has ever really tried …and it is excluded that the youngest, born natural Welter, now  in the Middle weight division,  27 years old, CANELO will land him.

This fight reminds me of our greatest Italian champion ever among the world’s greatest.

GGG is a boxer/puncher, powerful, devastating, perfect in time.

Beutifull jab, intelligence, balance, in the US he learned how to cuddle with his elbows … maybe he doesn’t have the fastest hands, susceptible to uppercuts. My Father Giancarlo Garbelli would say: “tonight should be an heavy rythm dancing night…” .

For both challengers is certainly the highest time in their careers, to capitalize on the pursue, the biggest opportunity. For Kazakhstan, GGG at the top of his career is the first time in the ring of Las Vegas, but a major player in irrepetible fights at the Madison Square Garden in New York, and again in Europe, Germany, Monte Carlo, London, Ukraine before settle with the family in Los Angeles.

The journey has been very long and hard, as always for non-Americans, with the exception of Mexicans who in boxing have a voice, having so many warriors.
