Grande accoglienza nella ricchissima libreria di Edoardo Agosti, IBS di MANTOVA.
Subito una discussione con un ‘maestro di MMA’ che si è immediatamente tolto dai piedi. Non poteva sostenere nemmeno un round nella presentazione del mio libro IL FIGHTER D’ITALIA GIANCARLO GARBELLI. Grande Campione di così Nobile Sport. In tanti amiamo le storie degli eroi della Boxe e quando si tratta di parlare di pugilato, lascio la parola a chi ne sa. O a chi ha qualcosa di sensato con cui confrontarsi.
E la cultura, nel pugilato non è un optional… Ha illustre passato e un futuro sempre da reinventarsi con tanta fiducia. E certo è benvenuto chi ne vuol sapere. Ma chi vuole fare un mix tra diavolo e acqua santa…ha vita brevissima.
Ho vinto per KO subito nei primissimi secondi! E’ poi proseguita la serata, fantastica perché ha dato la possibilità di confronto reale con il pubblico, con tutti i problemi che sono emersi nella pur ricca provincia italiana.
Giù il cappello al Maestro BRUNO che da 40 anni si occupa di mettere insieme le realtà emarginate, con quelle più ricche degli appassionati del pugilato, proprio qui nella magnifica Mantova. Non è mestiere da poco, educare con le regole della boxe. Soprattutto far capir di cosa si tratta. Non basta oliare i muscoli.
No, non ci sono campioni a Mantova, ma c’è una gran voglia di pugilato e allora il mio apporto di conoscenza è certo un supporto, un riferimento a cui ispirarsi. Di questo si tratta, questo è il mio intento negli appuntamenti con la gente in libreria: diffondere il mio ricco libro che quel grandissimo campione di mio Padre Giancarlo Garbelli a sua volta mi ha lasciato in eredità. Io ho pazientemente tessuto la materia prima: il suo pensiero.
E un pensiero così importante, così intenso, così guida di vita, e di sport, così nitido, che non ci si può confondere con vuoti surrogati. Non ci si improvvisa scrittori di boxe! E la storia è viva e reale se a raccontarla è chi l’ha vissuta… E’ certo che ho imparato subito a difenderla!
La nobiltà non si fa calpestare. Inutile provarci con colpi bassi…ti sollevo di peso con tutta l’anima!
Dunque un pensiero così nobile lo posso solo condividere. ARRIVEDERCI SPLENDIDA MANTOVA.

We are many who love the stories of the heroes of Boxing and when it comes to talking about boxing, I leave the floor to those who know. Or to those who have something sensible to deal with. And the culture, in boxing is not an option … It has illustrious past and a future always to be reinvented with so much confidence. And certainly, those who want to know are welcome. But who wants to make a mix between devil and holy water … has a very short life, at least with me.
I won by KO right away in the first few seconds! Then the evening continued, fantastic because it gave the possibility of real confrontation with the public, with all the problems that emerged in the rich Italian province.

I patiently woven the raw material: his thought. It is such an important thought, so intense, so conducive to life, and of sport, so clear, that it cannot be confused with empty surrogates. You can’t be an improvise boxing writer. And the story is alive and real if it is lived by those who told it … It’s sure that I immediately learned to defend it!
