TYSON FURY E IL SUO MAESTRO SI LASCIANO…A due mesi dal match FURY vs WILDER, in agenda il prossimo 22 febbraio 2020 a Las Vegas, come ha annunciato un paio di settimane fa la leggenda degli organizzatori americani, BOB ARUM e il co-organizzatore inglese, FRANK WARREN, in un rematch che il fans di tutto il mondo vogliono. E che solo 10 mesi fa, TYSON FURY ha siglato per 100 milioni di dollaroni…
Ma il gigante britannico, TYSON “the gypsy king” FURY, non avrà più il giovane motivatore che lo ha spronato a tornare in forma, a riprendersi la vita in mano a tornare sul ring. Forse, però adesso FURY per il rematch vs WILDER ha bisogno di un allenatore che lo tenga in riga…BEN DAVISON ha fatto un gran lavoro sulle emozioni, ma per abbattere WILDER ci vuole a questo punto, l’occhio critico e la disciplina di un allenatore che non gliene dia vinta nemmeno mezza…

Era 180 Kg di grasso e deforme, al collasso psichico, quando il 27enne, BEN DAVISON ha iniziato a lavorare in palestra con FURY e in un anno ha fatto il miracolo di rimettere in piedi quell’ammasso psicofisico confuso. Alle spalle di TYSON FURY, c’era BEN DAVISON, il ragazzo che ha compiuto l’impossibile e riportato in vita, di nuovo sul ring, TYSON FURY, anzi meglio di come sia mai stato.
Quel ragazzo ci ha creduto, gli ha ridato fiducia e stima in se stesso. In tre match TYSON FURY è rinato. Un match con il modesto macedone Sefer Seferi, uno con il nostro sfortunato Francesco Pianeta, e poi il match che ha fatto schizzare le quotazioni ancora una volta di TYSON FURY vs DEONTAY WILDER…. Nessuno ci credeva. Nemmeno io.
Il match tra WILDER e FURY dal molto controverso verdetto con un risultato di pareggio. Come ho già scritto nell’articolo dello scorso dicembre 2018, ho visto il britannico vincente.
Ora il giovane, taglia-e-cuci-allenatore e il campione si separano. Il Campione si preparerà con il nipote di cotanto maestro che è stato Emanuel Steward, in quel di Detroit, alla storica Kronk Gym. Anche questa palestra, è stata distrutta, poi rinnovata poi ancora ha subito mutamenti, furti…e ora è in mano al nipote di Emanuel Steward, Sugar Hill, sarà lui ad occuparsi della preparazione di FURY. FURY non è nuovo in questa palestra, ci aveva già fatto qualche passata con il fondatore appunto . EMANUELE STEWARD. Mi sembra un’ottima mossa.
Oltre alle automobili Detroit, dalla Kronk Gym, si sono formati notevoli campioni, vedi Tommy Hearns, Hector Camacho, Julio Caeser Chavez, Jermain Taylor. E tanti altri sono stati plasmati dal leggendario Emanuel Steward, l’ultimo WLADIMIR KLITSCHKO.

Contro WILDER, TYSON FURY sa bene che deve mistificare, eludere, essere enigmatico e dovrà ostentare sicurezza. Dovrà tirare fuori le sue doti multi.tasking per evitare l’unico colpo della boxe che WILDER conosce, il destro del Knock Out. Sarà una questione di saper gestir con il pragmatismo che certo a TYSON FURY non manca.
No, non mi sembra una tragedia questa amichevole separazione, penso anzi che responsabilizzi tanto di più TYSON FURY. DAVISON, ha compiuto l’impresa umana, ridare vita a un campione che voleva la morte, di questo tutta la boxe di ogni dove gli è riconoscente, non solo il suo campione.
Del resto TYSON FURY all’angolo vs WILDER ha avuto, a mio parere il miglior degli allenatori in circolazione: FREDDIE ROACH. In tutti i casi, la sera del 1° dicembre non sono andata a Las Vegas, non avrei mai investito in un viaggio così lungo, per un match che ai miei occhi si presentava come uno dei tanti bluff incontrati da DEONTAY WILDER.
Durante il match in TV mi sono morsa le labbra… cosa avrei dato per essere all’angolo di quella notte del 1° dicembre 2018 che ha cambiato completamente la storia di un campione finito…e leggere negli occhi gli scambi, gli sguardi tra DAVISON, ROACH e il GYPSY KING…l’ultimo round da cardiopalma. Solo la Grande Boxe da emozioni così paradossali, imprevedibili e con la vita in palio…
Ho solo un dubbio che questo rematch non sarà facilissimo come il primo match, WILDER l’ha prese come una pratica da sbrigare rapida. Un cliente facile…
Ora il rematch si fa interessante, non è più classificabile come il primo una sorta di incontro tra clowns, qua entrambi dal verdetto hanno molto perdere.
Ora il ring del prossimo 22 02 2020 sarà davvero un quadrato dove sotto i riflettori, sarà di scena la Grande Boxe.
