Non vedevo l’ora di volare, è due anni che fremo, oggi finalmente ho preso l’aereo per Milano-Parigi sino a che non ero in aeroporto non ero certa, la pandemia ci ha costretto a molte regole, sicuramente necessarie, ma sino a che non hai oltrepassato la security non c’era certezza di partire. Milano -Parigi, é un attimo, un’ora e mezza, non volevo più rimandare. L’amico Dominique Nato, è da 10 mesi Presidente della Federazione Francese di Boxe. E dovevo fargli le congratulazioni di persona. E di più ci siamo raccontati tanto.

Davanti alla mia telecamera ha parole oneste e profonde che gli vengono dal suo percorso lungo oltre 30 anni. Da Atleta-Allenatore, sino ad oggi Presidente. Una passione ardente al servizio della Boxe.

Qui desidero portare a termine la mia promessa ai Maestri di Pugilato Italiani, e ho così aperto la conversazione con gli appunti che ho raccolto prima di partire. Tutti loro, I Maestri, ben conoscono Dominique Nato e tutti hanno elogio per questo gentiluomo francese, di radici italiane per il grande lavoro e i brillanti risultati.

Ciò che non funzionava, Dominique lo ha cambiato. E ancora migliorerà.

Il Mo. Boncinelli vuol sapere la sua opinione sulla motivazione per il pugile. Per Dominique è la stessa motivazione del maestro, è il risultato della fusione tra il ragazzo e il suo educatore; si crea con la fiducia che si conquista giorno dopo giorno in un lavoro che non è mai finito. Disciplina e lavoro.

Si arriva alla confidenza. La perfezione si ricerca sempre per arrivare al risultato. Sono sicura che per il Mo. Alessandro Boncinelli è una conferma del suo lavoro che ha seminato in anni.

Aggiungo io, certo non deve essere frustrata da giochi di potere che spengono i sogni di chi quel traguardo, lo suda, lo sogna, lo vuole raggiungere. Altrimenti non c’è motivazione che tenga…né per il Maestro e né per il giovane dilettante, e così non c’è più ricambio delle giovani speranze. Men che meno si può ambire al salto nei professionisti. Si muore e basta.

Per il Maestro Gino Freo che vuol sapere, come è possibile pretendere di far perdere la scuola per 10/15 giorni e pagare spese esorbitanti di trasferimento per ritrovarsi in un unico centro, così lontano e scomodo da raggiungere.

Meglio sarebbe rifocillare le palestre di pugilato, sempre con l’acqua alla gola, e preparare i ragazzi vicino casa invece di far pagare spostamenti, hotel in posti raggiungibili solo in auto. E non pesare così tanto sulle famiglie di solito non proprio le più ricche, alle spalle dei giovani pugili.

Del resto mi conferma Dominique, come mi aveva già mostrato proprio lui, qualche anno fa all’INSEPT, qui a Parigi, il centro sportivo per tutte le discipline, così come succede anche in Germania, alle porte di Berlino.

A Parigi è il luogo di aggregazione di tutti gli Sport. Quindi anche il ritrovo per tutti i Club e Palestre di Boxe sia che siano con i ragazzi in Nazionale Dilettanti, sia per i preparatori dei Professionisti, vale per tutti il ritrovarsi o a Parigi o a Nancy, oppure negli altri 17 centri sportivi sparsi per tutta la Francia. Senza distinzione.

I Club, le Palestre che ne fanno parte, sono tutti sotto la stessa giurisdizione della Federazione Pugilistica Francese. Che ne è responsabile sotto ogni profilo atletico e sanitario, organizzativo. Ne risponde a 360°

Delle parole di Mo. Meo Gordini, Dominique Nato è arrossito, anche se cittadino del mondo non si abitua mai alla stima del Maestro di lunghissimo corso quale Gordini. Tra Maestri di così esplicite capacità, non ci sono convenevoli solo riconoscimento del valore reciproco.

Una bella giornata, iniziata e appena finita con l’inseparabile amico e Mo. Mokhtar Hadjri, di origini tunisine, e tutti e tre ci siamo infilati in un delizioso bistrot, e i ricordi si sono accesi nei racconti di vita che solo la boxe sa rendere così intensi.

Noi tutti e tre ci conosciamo dalla Olimpiadi Beijing 2008. Sono già trascorsi 14 anni…eravamo ragazzi e tali siamo rimasti…

Si riaccende l’entusiasmo per le prossime Olimpiadi Paris 2024 e l’Arena della Boxe Dilettanti dove si disputeranno i match dei giovani pugili, è Stade Roland Garros, mi dice Dominique Nato, il tempio del Tennis a Parigi, ma già Arena di memorabili match di Boxe; uno dei quali, per i francesi di Francia, è il secondo dei due incontri tra CARLOS MONZON vs JEAN-CLAUDE BOUTTIER.

Quel match lo organizzò Alain Delon. Bouttier andò a prepararsi, prima alla Gleason Gym di New York, poi dal leggendario Mo. Angelo Dundee, sempre all’angolo di Muhammad Ali, a Miami alla sua 5th Gym.

A proposito, una coincidenza curiosa, Dominique Nato ha le stesse radici italiane del Mo. Angelo Dundee, entrambi della Calabria.

Quella notte del 29 settembre 1973, a le Stade Roland Garros, Bouttier ha dato tutto il cuore in 15 round, bel match, un leone il francese, ha terminato l’impresa in piedi, senza mai cedere contro l’argentino, tra i più grandi Pesi Medi di tutti i tempi.

E con quei due match disputati a distanza di un anno, Bouttier resistendo a tutti gli attacchi potenti e maliziosi del miglior campione argentino di sempre, diventò l’orgoglio francese.

Accettare quelle sfide e senza subire l’estremo KO, provare ad avere la meglio su cotanto temuto campione quale il quotato Carlos Monzon, gli derivò dalla carica della forte appartenenza alla Francia, di questo si è trattato per Jean-Claude Bouttier. Me lo disse alla mia telecamera…Si sono stati tanti, preziosi e meravigliosi i mei incontri nella Grande Boxe.

Ma l’ultimo campione francese che ha vinto e bene via TKO a le Stade de Roland Garros, lo scorso settembre 2021 è TONY YOKA, passato al professionismo, dopo la Medaglia d’Oro nei Pesi Massimi nei Giochi di Rio De Janeiro 2016.

É molto di più che una promessa su cui la Francia ha puntato e crede per vederlo svettare tra grandi professionisti nei Pesi Massimi.

Il Mo. Mokhtar Hadjri ha preso il giovane sedicenne TONY YOKA, da suo padre che lo aveva iniziato alla boxe e per 10 anni lo ha educato alla Nobile Arte. E sono soddisfazioni…!

E così continua la storia ancora da scrivere, le Stade Roland Garros per le prossime Olimpiadi Paris 2024 è in mani più che solidissime, la Francia di Dominique Nato vuole tre podi, o meglio almeno ne sogna tre…!

Le Olimpiadi Paris 2024, una vetrina che tutti i ragazzi/ragazze della boxe sognano. Un trampolino di lancio globale, se davvero c’è il talento e il sacro fuoco del guerriero, una rampa di decollo spettacolare, e planare da Parigi nei più prestigiosi ring delle capitali nel mondo della Boxe è davvero un gran bel sogno…per pochi ed eccelsi.

Dominique Nato farà gli onori di casa, vigile che tutto funzionerà alla perfezione, lui ci lavora ogni istante perché la Francia e tutte e le Federazioni del Mondo portino con sé ricordi memorabili del lavoro fatto in quattro anni, qualcuno vincerà, qualcuno perderà, ma che nessuno rimanga deluso.

Gli atleti non sono carne su cui la corruzione potrà più abusarne.

Una guerra che devono fare tutte le Federazioni del Mondo. Pena l’espulsione del pugilato dalle Olimpiadi. Questo è uno sforzo comune e condiviso, mi rassicura Dominique Nato.

Aggiungo speriamo che sia davvero condiviso, Thomas Bach il Presidente del CIO è molto chiaro e severo su questo punto. La Boxe deve essere pulita…

Avevo già sentito quest’ultima frase negli anni bui della boxe negli USA…ma era un’altra epoca, l’epoca del controllo della boxe da parte del crimine organizzato, erano gli anni di Frankie Carbo!

Mi fermo qui, sono troppo belle le vibrazioni positive che Dominique Nato mi ha lasciato e la sua dedizione alla causa dei giovani atleti per le prossime Olimpiadi Paris 2024 è di totale abnegazione.

I couldn’t wait to fly, I have been shivering for two years, today I finally took the plane to Milan-Paris until I was at the airport I was not sure, the pandemic forced us to many rules, certainly necessary, but until I didn’t go beyond security there was no certainty of leaving. Milan-Paris, it’s a moment, an hour and a half, I didn’t want to postpone anymore.

My friend Dominique Nato has been President of the French Boxing Federation for 10 months. And I had to congratulate him in person. And we had a lot of talking…

In front of my camera, he has honest and profound words that come from his path of over 30 years. From Athlete-Trainer, until today President. A burning passion for the service of Boxing.

Here I wish to carry out my promise to the Italian Boxing Trainers, and thus I opened the conversation with the notes I collected before leaving. All of them, the Trainers, know Dominique Nato well and all have praise for this French gentleman, of Italian roots for the great work and brilliant results.

What didn’t work, Dominique changed it. And he will continue for the Better.

Trainer Boncinelli wants to know his opinion on the motivation of the boxer. For Trainer Gino Freo who wants to know, how is it possible to expect to miss school for 10/15 days and pay exorbitant transfer costs to find himself in a single center, so far and inconvenient to reach?

It would be better to give money to the boxing gyms, always with water in the throat, and prepare the youngest near home instead of charging for travel, and hotels in places reachable only by car.

After all, Dominique confirms me, as he himself had already shown me, a few years ago at the INSEPT, here in Paris, the sports center for all disciplines, as is also the case in Germany, just outside Berlin.

In Paris, it’s the meeting place for all sports. All three of us have known each other since the 2008 Beijing Olympics. 14 years have already passed … we were kids and we have remained so…

That fight was promoted by the French actor, Alain Delon. Bouttier went to prepare, first at Gleason Gym in New York, then to legendary Trainer Angelo Dundee, also on the corner of Muhammad Ali, in Miami at his 5th Gym.

By the way, coincidentally Dominique Nato has the same Italian roots as trainer Angelo Dundee, both from the Calabria region, in South Italy.

That night of September 29th, 1973, at the Stade Roland Garros, Bouttier gave his whole heart in 15 rounds, a good fight, the Frenchman was a lion, he finished the feat on his feet, without ever giving up, against the Argentine, among the greatest middleweights of all time.

And with those two fights fought one year apart, Bouttier resisted all the powerful and malicious attacks of the best Argentine champion ever and Bouttier became the French pride.

The Paris 2024 Olympics, is a showcase that all boxing boys/girls dream of. A global launchpad, if there really is the talent and the sacred fire of the warrior, a spectacular take-off ramp, and gliding from Paris in the most prestigious rings of the capitals in the Boxing world is really a great dream … for few and excellent.

Dominique Nato will do the house’s honors, vigilant that everything will work perfectly, he works on it every moment so that France and all the Boxing Federations of the world will bring with them memorable memories of the work done in four years, someone will win, someone will lose, but that no one will be disappointed.

Athletes are not meat on which corruption can no longer be abused.
