Per Forbes, la rivista che si occupa di classifiche e di cultura economica è FLOYD “money” MAYWEATHER jr. con $ 915.000,00 milioni l’atleta più pagato nel decennio 2010/2019.
Seguono i calciatori: RONALDO e MESSI; basket, LEBRON; tennis, FEDERER; i golfisti WOODS e MICHELSON.
Nella stessa classifica il campione di boxe, filippino MANNY PACQUIAO è 8° con $ 435.000,00. Seguono DURANT, basket. É 10° HAMILTON, Formula Uno
Mi preme fare alcune considerazioni, su questo titolo del “più ricco”.
Tutto quel guadagno se non fosse stato un pugile americano, non lo avrebbe mai incassato.
Perché MAYWEATHER è sempre stato noiosissimo da vedere, una boxe tutta in difesa.
Poi cambiata la scuderia, e salito di peso, sino ai Pesi Welter e si mette in proprio con AL HAYMON, e insieme conquistano una montagna di danaro, mai raggiunta da nessun atleta al mondo prima d’ora.
Il più ricco non vuol dire il migliore ovviamente, soprattutto nella boxe, dove come spesso chiarisco i record non sono la verità assoluta.
Sulla carta MAYWEATHER appare ai non competenti, un superman…Ma il suo match vs Castillo è stato considerato perso, ma nel record risulta vinto, così come il match vs Ortiz (anche se per me la reazione è stata più giustificata nel pieno dell’azione del match), e certo quei verdetti così discussi vs l’argentino Marcos Maidana. Poi l’inutile match vs Berto e così ancora più la ridicola farsa vs McGregor… Ci sono voluti 20 anni per MAYWEATHER jr per vincere 50 match…ma allora le generazioni passate, come ho sempre sostenuto erano degli alieni…Eh sì, certo.
Sicuramente non ha trasceso la Boxe, come è successo ai grandi campioni statunitensi, che hanno anche attraversato la politica, Louis, o Ali per dirne un paio….ma di certo MAYWEATHER ha trasceso il conto corrente di qualsiasi atleta al mondo.

È certo che non sa leggere, FLOYD “money” MAYWEATHER, è dislessico, e nessuno ha mai curato la sua dislessia, e di sicuro è stato il più scaltro nel fare quattrini. Si è persino inventato il motto di “colpire senza essere colpiti”, l’arte dell’incasso che nella boxe vuol dire saper prevedere, attutire, e prendere i colpi, lui ne ha puntato il dito contro.
Nella grande boxe, la vera grandezza è nell’abilità offensiva …non nella difesa, e infatti è stato considerato un pugile noioso.
A casa sua, Las Vegas, tutti gli scommettitori hanno sempre puntato e vinto con lui… dunque a dispetto della ricchezza accumulata da “money” MAYWEATHER e per cui gli riconosco il podio di atleta più ricco, non gli riconosco in nessun modo di essere il migliore Campione di Boxe.
Nella mia lista personale, ce ne sono almeno una cinquantina prima di lui, di migliori di tutti i tempi. E se pensi che sia stato il migliore, semplicemente non conosci la Storia della Boxe, la Boxe senza la Storia non è Boxe… Il record è ciò che è riportato quale risultato del verdetto, non è la Storia.

Il migliore campione di Boxe del decennio 2010/2019, e lo è stato anche nel decennio precedente 2000/2009, in fatto di migliore campione di boxe, non il più ricco, è Il filippino MANNY PACQUIAO.
Del resto mai un Campione di Boxe straniero, avrebbe potuto accumulare più fortuna economica di un pugile americano.
Insomma gli americani sono interessati alla Boxe se hanno le loro icone.
Noi Europei che sappiamo quanto sia raro un Campione di Boxe, non tifiamo la Nazione, anche se ci piacerebbe di casa, ma supportiamo il campione ovunque nasca.
PACQUIAO. ha subito verdetti infelici, con il sorriso…MAYWEATHER ha scelto ogni ciliegina da mettere sulla torta.

MAYWEATHER pur di superare il record di ROCKY MARCIANO, 49 vinti 0 persi, si è inventato quel match farsa contro uno che mai aveva combattuto un match di boxe….il tale McGregor di cui nessuno ha più sentito parlare…
MAYWEATHER ha fatto di tutto per scegliersi gli avversari, per evitare per almeno sei anni il match vs PACQUIAO. PACQUIAO li ha affrontati tutti e per me, e così è nella Grande Boxe, l’Uomo Migliore è l’Uomo che affronta l’avversario, non quello che sceglie l’avversario, o peggio lo evita.
Va detto che MAYWEATHER poteva abbandonare BOB ARUM, mentre il filippino PACQUAIO non avrebbe avuto migliore organizzatore, anche se dell’intera borsa, PACQUIAO, percepiva si e no il 27%. È solo in anni recenti che PACQUIAO si muove con la sua Organizzazione.
I match di MANNY PACQUIAO tutti spettacolari, dove MAYWEATHER vinceva senza far male… con gli stessi avversari, PACQUIAO chiudeva con sensazionale potenza e dominio, vedi i match vs DE LA HOYA, HATTON, COTTO, MARGARITO…sino ad oggi: MATHYSSE, BRONER, THURMAN…Combattere in America non vuol dire avere il pubblico americano dalla tua parte. Devi essere americano. Lo stesso vale per l’Australia sia chiaro…

Penso che oltre a PACQUIAO il migliore della decade non c’è dubbio è GENNADY “GGG” GOLOVKIN….Accidenti con quella sfilza di KO 35 per la precisione, con quella potenza spettacolare di Peso Medio che ha affrontato tutti, chiunque gli imponessero, e il più grande Campione del Kazakhstan è stato umiliato con due verdetti ipocriti, totalmente falsi…vs CANELO.
Lo stesso CANELO che vinse vs MAYWEATHER. Ma nel record risulta perso ai punti per decisione maggioritaria…MAYWEATHER ha sempre avuto i cartellini dei giudici in suo favore, per questo era facile scommettere su di lui.
Appesi i guanti di MAYWEATHER, SAUL ALVAREZ, conosciuto come CANELO il messicano dal pelo rosso, ha preso Il suo posto, e infatti le scommesse sono sempre favorevoli a CANELO.
Ricordo i momenti peggiori in cui MAYWEATHER sino a che non si è finalmente realizzato il match vs PACQUIAO era chiamato Mr. Struzzo…per la sua abilità ad evitare match con avversari competitivi.
Ho visto suo padre FLOYD MAYWEATHER sr., all’opposto del suo angolo, vs OSCAR DEL LA HOYA e l’ho visto piangere per non poter avere di nuovo la fiducia di allenarlo ed essere preferito a ROGER MAYWEATHER, zio di MAYWEATHER jr., fratello di FLOYD sr.
Insomma quando si entra nella Grande Boxe si entra nel Grande Business, e allora sicuramente, FLOYD “money” MAYWEATHER è stato un magnifico affarista.
