La Federazione Inglese di Pugilato, il suo Presidente Caspar Hobbs, invita il Presidente AIBA Gafur Rakhimov, a considerare il danno prodotto al pugilato dilettanti …! Al momento la partecipazione a TOKYO 2020 del Pugilato Dilettanti, è congelata sino al prossimo giugno 2019.
Il presidente del CIO Thomas Bach ha assicurato agli atleti che la competizione olimpica di boxe si terrà a Tokyo 2020, nonostante i problemi con AIBA, sostenendo che il CIO “vuole un torneo di boxe ai Giochi di Tokyo e faremo tutti gli sforzi per averlo”.
Tuttavia la dichiarazione del comitato esecutivo del CIO ha destato preoccupazione nel mondo del pugilato dilettanti, poiché la conferma finale sull’eventualità di un evento di boxe olimpico – e chi lo organizzerà – non ci sarà probabilmente sino alla prossima sessione di Losanna del prossimo giugno. E cioè solo a poco più di un anno prima dell’inizio di Tokyo 2020.

Non esiste ancora un percorso di qualificazione per gli atleti.
Una commissione guidata dal membro del Comitato Esecutivo del CIO e dal presidente della United World Wrestling Nenad Lalović, incaricata di guidare l’inchiesta, che potrebbe portare l’AIBA a perdere il diritto di organizzare il torneo olimpico di pugilato, condurrà le indagini nei prossimi mesi prima di riferire i risultati nel prossimo giugno.

Boxe Dilettanti AIBA fuori dalle Olimpiadi di Tokyo 2020 al suo posto WBA o WBC. Come vi ho riportato sin dal 2016 qua il link per riprendere il filo dell’angoscioso scompiglio creato dall’AIBA, organo che sino ad oggi ha avuto l’esclusiva dei Giochi Olimpici del Pugilato.
Intanto a Tokyo, nei prossimi due giorni all’ordine del giorno del CIO –Comitato Olimpico Internazionale – stanno valutando come organizzare un torneo di pugilato a Tokyo 2020 senza l’Associazione Internazionale Boxe Dilettanti- (AIBA) mentre il Comitato Esecutivo si prepara a decidere il futuro dello sport ai Giochi.
L’idea l’avevo esposta nel mio precedente articolo, appunto di sostituire un torneo professionisti per questa edizione, con una delle cinture professionali ad esempio WBC oppure con un torneo organizzato come il fantastico WBSS.
Forse ancora meglio è quanto WLADIMIR KLITSCHKO propone, vale a dire la sostituzione dell’AIBA con la WBA,- World Boxing Association, con i dilettanti-.
Insomma tutte ideee ottime, purchè il sinistro personaggio attuale Presidente dell’AIBA RAKHIMOV e la sua banda siano definitivamente fuori.

Quale sia la Cintura, WBA o WBC, è l’uomo alla guida che vale, e WLADIMIR KLITSCHKO è un ottimo ambasciatore del nostro Sport, la Boxe.
L’ho sempre ammirato e descritto per la sua classe indiscussa, sul ring e altrettanto fuori dal ring. Bisognerà attendere la fine di questa due giorni, per sapere la decisione finale di THOMAS BACH, e a quale organizzazione il CIO intende cedere la licenza per i prossimi Giochi Olimpici di Pugilato a TOKYO 2020.
Intanto la WBA ha aperto un ufficio a Losanna sede dei Giochi Olimpici e dell’AIBA.
Non demorde, il presidente dell’AIBA, GAFUR RAHIMOV, al recente Torneo Mondiale Dilettanti Donne AIBA che si è svolto a New Delhi, in India, sembra sicuro… e nel sito dell’AIBA, il 21 novembre così si è espresso.
Mi preme dirvi che più che dall’angolo del presidente, GAFUR RAHIMOV mi pare un presidente all’angolo!
Mi chiedo: è sufficiente per THOMAS BACH, CIO dei Giochi Olimpici, per l’approvazione all’organizzazione del pugilato dilettanti all’AIBA per Tokio 2020? Non credo che il Presidente del CIO accetti l’incipriata di facciata…
Il comitato esecutivo del CIO discuterà oltre l’AIBA, ascolterà anche un rapporto sulle federazioni internazionali invernali, l’antidoping e i due candidati in lizza per ospitare i Giochi olimpici invernali del 2026.

IOC President Thomas Bach assured athletes an Olympic boxing competition will still take place in Tokyo 2020 despite the issues with AIBA, claiming the IOC “wants to have a boxing tournament at the Games in Tokyo and we will make all efforts to have it”.
The statement from the IOC Executive Board has caused concern in the amateur boxing world, however, as final confirmation on whether there will be an Olympic boxing event – and who will organize it – isn’t likely to be made until the Session in Lausanne next June, just over a year before the start of Tokyo 2020.

There is also not yet a qualification path in place for athletes.

AIBA Amateur Boxing out of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics in its place WBA or WBC. As I have brought back from 2016 here the link to resume the thread of the distressing turmoil created by AIBA, an organ that until now has had the exclusive of the Olympic Games of Boxing.
Meanwhile in Tokyo, in the next two days on the agenda of the IOC-International Olympic Committee – they are considering how to organize a boxing tournament in Tokyo 2020 without the International Amateur Boxing Association- (AIBA) while the Executive Committee is preparing to decide the future of the sport at the Games.

The idea I had exposed in my previous article, just to replace with a professional tournament for this edition TOKYO 2020, with one of the pro Belts for example WBC or with a tournament organized as the fantastic WBSS.
Perhaps even better is what WLADIMIR KLITSCHKO proposes, namely the replacement of AIBA with the WBA, – World Boxing Association, with Amateurs-. In short all great ideas, as long as the sinister current character President of AIBA RAKHIMOV and his band are out.
Whatever the Belt, WBA or WBC, is the man in charge who is worth, and WLADIMIR KLITSCHKO is a great ambassador of our Sport, Boxing.
I have always admired and described for his undisputed class, in the ring and just as outside the ring. We will have to wait until the end of this two days, to know the final decision of THOMAS BACH, and to which organization the IOC intends to give the license for the next Olympic Boxing Games in TOKYO 2020.
