Questa notte alla T-Mobile Arena di Las Vegas, SAUL Canelo ALVAREZ 33 anni, (60-2-2, 39 vinti KO) di Guadalajara è nuovamente protagonista della carta del Cinco de Mayo per difendere il suo regno di campione indiscusso dei Pesi Super Medi.
L’avversario è JAIME MUNGUIA, 27 anni di Tijuana, con 43 match, di cui 34 via KO è imbattuto. Entrambi hanno disputato tutti i loro tra il Messico e gli USA. Man mano che crescevano nelle graduatorie, più ring statunitensi.

Vorrei vedere SAUL “Canelo ALVAREZ, per una volta dopo il match sorridere. Ridere di gusto e buttarsi alle spalle ciò che è stato. Un Campione per di più in carica, sa che non deve guardarsi indietro.
Domani Cinco de Mayo, giorno dell’Indipendenza del Messico comunque andrà le campane di tutto il Messico suoneranno per il vincitore messicano. Non è sempre stato così.

CANELO vince e convince ai punti. Così i cartellini dei giudici: 117-110, 116-111, 115-112. La presenza di ROACH ha influenzato MUNGUIA perlomeno nella certezza di provare. MUNGUIA sembrava un paio di categorie più grandi, la differenza tra altezza e peso era molto evidente. I colpi di MUNGUIA mi sono parsi telefonati, insomma non proprio sorprendenti.
Un montante destro di CANELO ed è Knock Down al 4 round e da quel momento MUNGUIA ha perso di slancio. Mi è parso che CANELO poteva provare il KO tra il 9° o anche il 10° round.
Facile prestazione di CANELO con un giovane che avrà futuro con la magia di ROACH all’angolo. Da qui in avanti CANELO deve decidere a chi lasciare lo scettro. Il suo grande inizio di carriera fu con i migliori campioni in declino, li ha dominati uno dopo l’altro.
Ci vorrebbe un prossimo match CANELO vs BENAVIDEZ per chiudere in bellezza una carriera intensa, e programmata sull’aumento degli zero sull’assegno. CANELO lce l’ha fatta e tutti i messicani lo adorano per questo. Il mondo lo ammira perché CANELO ha mostrato nella sua carriera quello che voleva essere.

CANELO wins and convinces on points. Thus the judges’ cards: 117-110, 116-111, 115-112. The presence of ROACH influenced MUNGUIA at least in the certainty of trying. MUNGUIA looked a couple of divisions bigger, the difference between height and weight was very noticeable. MUNGUIA’s shots seemed telephonic to me, in short, not exactly surprising.
A right uppercut from CANELO and its knockdown in round 4th and from that point, MUNGUIA has lost momentum. It seemed to me that CANELO could try for the KO between the 9th or even the 10th round.
Easy performance from CANELO with a young man who will have a future with the magic of ROACH in the corner. From here on CANELO must decide who to leave the scepter to. The great start of his career was with the best champions in decline, he dominated them one after the other. It would take the next CANELO vs BENAVIDEZ fight to end an intense career in style, and one planned on increasing the zeros on the check. CANELO did it and all Mexicans love him for it.
