Addio Sublime CARLA FRACCI

Lo scorso 28 maggio, sono andata a La Scala a rendere omaggio a Carla Fracci, alla camera ardente, evento speciale, per un’artista unica.
L’ultima volta, nell’ottobre 2016,  l’ho vista per la strade di Milano, sgattaiolava per farsi largo tra i presenti sul sagrato del Duomo di Milano, ai funerali laici di Dario Fo, Premio Nobel, altro grande lombardo.
Poi non ho più avuto occasione d’incontrarla.

Ero stata fortunata ad avere un invito, negli anni ’90, ad assistere alle prove generali con Carla Fracci e il ballerino rumeno, George Iancu, al Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, in “L’Après-midi d’un faune” musiche di Claude Debussy. Sono per me ricordi quasi mistici…

La danza classica mi è lontana, sono cresciuta con l’atletica, ginnastica artistica e pallavolo.

Ma i valori per cercare di raggiungere la perfezione mi sono noti.

Le ballerine sono dei pugili mancati…Credimi! Quella determinazione e volontà è roba da boxer!

No, è che i circoli ricreativi dell’ATM- azienda tranviaria milanese- il dopo lavoro ferroviario, erano un’aggregazione eccezionale per i ragazzi del dopoguerra, e da li partivano idee e carriere eccezionali. Ecco ad esempio anche mio papà Giancarlo, gli inizi della sua formidabile carriera furono proprio nel circolo dopo lavoro dell’ATM, lì poteva allenarsi.

Milano, la Lombardia han dato immensi artisti che han scolpito con la loro Arte per sempre aggiungendo prestigio e lustro.
CARLA FRACCI milanese DOCG, è stata la più grande prima-ballerina di sempre. Etoile con più di 200 balletti con il grandioso Rudolf Nurajev, figlio di contadini russi, “non mi ha regalato nulla nessuno…” disse in una famosa intervista.
E nemmeno a Carla Fracci, figlia di un tramviere e di un’operaia, diventata mito della danza, prima ballerina assoluta per il New York Times, ma non solo…e simbolo di Milano.

Le grandi vite di infinito successo, così fortemente volute e riscattate, nascono sempre dal basso…e non potrebbe essere diversamente.

Venerdì scorso i tram sferragliavano adagio, e facevano tre trilli in Tuo onore al passaggio davanti La Scala. Tu Carla eri figlia di un tranviere, uno di loro. E tu qua avevi studiato danza dall’età di 10 anni, sino a diventare la più immensa prima-ballerina del mondo.

Ho visto migliaia di persone in fila per la camera ardente al nostro Teatro Lirico, più importante, più bello, più famoso, unico al mondo: La Scala…e con qualcuna mi sono fermata a parlare di te, della nostra stella più luminosa di sempre: CARLA FRACCI.
Eravamo tutti d’accordo, rimarrà traccia nei libri di storia della nostra Milano, dell’Italia tutta e nel panorama mondiale della danza per sempre; nessuna etoile è stata più luminosa di lei, immensa, sublime.

Grazie Carla di averci onorato anche con la tua milanesità. Mai mollare…!

Farewell sublime CARLA FRACCI

On May 28th, I went to La Scala to pay homage to Carla Fracci, at the funeral parlor, a special event, for a unique artist.
The last time, in October 2016, I saw her in the streets of Milano, she sneaked out to make her way through the people present in the churchyard of the Milano Duomo Cathedral, at the lay funeral of Dario Fo, Nobel Prize winner, another great Lombard.
Then I never had the chance to meet her again.
I was lucky to have an invitation, in the 90s, to attend the ballet rehearsal with Carla Fracci and the Romanian dancer, George Iancu, at the Teatro dell’Opera in Roma, in “L’Après-midi d’un faune” music by Claude Debussy. They are almost mystical memories for me …

Classical dance is far from me, I grew up with athletics, artistic gymnastics, and volleyball.

But the values to try to achieve perfection are known to me. Dancers are missed boxers … Believe me! That determination and willpower are boxer stuff!

No, it is that the recreational clubs of ATM – the Milanese Tram Company – after railway work, were an exceptional aggregation for post-war children, and exceptional ideas and careers started from there. For example, here is also my father Giancarlo, the beginnings of his formidable career were right in the after-work club of the ATM, there he could train.

Milano and Lombardy have given immense artists who have carved with their art forever adding prestige and luster.

CARLA FRACCI Milanese DOCG, was the greatest prima-ballerina ever. She etoile with more than 200 ballets with the great Rudolf Nureyev, son of Russian peasants, “none didn’t give me anything …” he said in a popular interview.
And not even to Carla Fracci, daughter of a tram driver and a worker, who became a legend of dance, absolute prima-ballerina for the New York Times, but not only … and a symbol of Milano.

The great lives of infinite success, so strongly desired and redeemed, always arise from low… and it could not be otherwise.

Last Friday, the trams rattled slowly and made three trills in your honor at the passage in front of La Scala. You were the daughter of a tram driver, one of them. And here you had studied dance from the age of 10 until you became the absolute-prima-ballerina in the world.

I saw thousands of people lined up for the funeral parlor at our Lyric Theater, the most important, most beautiful, most famous, and unique in the world: La Scala… and with some people, I stopped to talk about our brightest star ever: CARLA FRACCI.
We all agreed, traces will remain in the history books of our Milano, of all of Italy, and of the world dance scene forever; no etoile was brighter than her, immense, sublime.

Thanks, Carla for honoring us also with your Milanese spirit. Never give up…!
