E oggi 26 settembre 2024, Il kazako Gennady Golovkin nominato Presidente della nuova Commissione Olimpica da World Boxing – nuova organizzazione dilettantistica per la Boxe Olimpica- ha così annunciato:
“Sono lieto di annunciare che da ora in poi rappresenterò gli interessi della boxe come sport olimpico a livello internazionale in qualità di Presidente della Commissione Olimpica Mondiale di Boxe.
Come olimpionico, atleta professionista, grande appassionato di boxe e semplicemente appassionato di sport, penso che sia molto importante mantenere la boxe nel programma olimpico. Questo è uno sport spettacolare e popolare che dovrebbe essere accessibile a tutti, in tutto il mondo.”
Mi sono ritrovata spesso a dare consigli non richiesti, ma vivendo questo mondo con onestà intellettuale, anche senza la gratitudine di tutti…così scrivevo lo scorso 27 luglio il giorno dopo l’apertura dei Giochi Olimpici di Paris 2024.
“GGG – o anche detto triple GGG– mi sembra la persona giusta per aiutare fortemente la neonata WORLD BOXING a ricreare quella Federazione Dilettantistica per presentarsi al CIO con le carte in regola e ridare fiducia alle nuove leve.”

And today, September 26, 2024, Kazakh Gennady Golovkin appointed Chairman of the new Olympic Commission by World Boxing – a new amateur organization for Olympic Boxing – announced:
“I am pleased to announce that from now on I will represent the interests of boxing as an Olympic sport at the international level as Chairman of the World Olympic Boxing Commission.
As an Olympian, a professional athlete, a big boxing fan, and simply a sports enthusiast, I think it is very important to keep boxing on the Olympic program. This is a spectacular and popular sport that should be accessible to everyone, all over the world.”
I have often found myself giving unsolicited advice, but living this world with intellectual honesty, even without everyone’s gratitude… so I wrote last July 27, the day after the opening of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
“GGG – Triple GGG – seems to me the right person to strongly help the newborn WORLD BOXING to recreate that Amateur Organization to present itself to the IOC with all the papers in order and restore confidence in the new generation.”
